Watching our favorite movies or TV shows, more often than not, we are all rooting for our two favorite male and female characters to finally have that romantic link-up they’ve been teasing for seemingly forever. In some cases, however, seeing two co-stars share a passionate and intimate moment on the screen made the fans go crazy, and not in a good way.
After a period of romantic tension and “will they/won’t they?” anxiety, it can be quite heartwarming to see two fictional characters in a TV series finally lock lips on camera. In this list, however, we have compiled a few infamous kissing scenes that failed to sweep the viewers and fans off their feet.
“Orange Is the New Black”
Piper Chapman might not have been a model prisoner during her time at the Litchfield Correctional Institution but even despite her own cheating past, this unexpected twist was uncalled for. While serving her time in prison, Chapman’s fiance Larry pays her a visit, and in his tow, is her best friend Polly.
As it turned out, in the midst of their own respective relationship woes, her fiance and her best friend had gotten close. And we mean really close. The two begin their own relationship after Larry confesses his feelings for her before the two decide to pay Chapman a visit as a couple. Despite her apparent poker face, it’s quite obvious that the news of her best friend and fiance hooking up was no less than an absolute bombshell for Pipes.
“Dexter”
The twisted and convoluted storyline of “Dexter” might have shocked fans to their core but arguably the moment that had the biggest shock factor was when Debra Morgan and Dexter decided to take their relationship to the next level.
The shocking moment transpires after Debs was convinced by her therapist that she, in fact, had secretly developed feelings for her adopted brother Dexter. Before the viewers could come to terms with what was unfolding before their very eyes, a seemingly innocent conversation about chopsticks had already spiraled into a sibling makeout session. Yikes.
“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”
For her part, Rebecca Bunch is nothing more than yet another innocent girl in love—with the wrong guy. Crazy about her crush Josh Chan, Bunch ends up packing all of her belongings before moving to California to be with him.
Ironically enough, unbeknownst to her, the viewers are already privy to the fact that Chan is, in fact, not the right guy for her. When the two first locked lips, fans of the show were quite sympathetic with Bunch, knowing that their relationship was doomed from the start.
