ChatGPT Gives a Glimpse at AI’s Astounding Potential

May 5, 2023

A new chatbot that is making big waves in cyberspace after its launch, ChatGPT already had more than a million people excitedly sign up for its use. According to Greg Brockman, who is Open AI’s president, ChatGPT is a funny, engaging, inventive, but untrustworthy partner.

He also added that he would recommend users check out ChatGPT when the servers are not overwhelmed by the load. Writers are having a ball using ChatGPT to do their job, whether it's about writing about antibodies and molecular groups or any other topic.

But here are our thoughts on ChatGPT and what it holds for us.

Many people who have worked with AI systems have had awe and dreaded moments as it is becoming more and more clear that humanity is creating something enormous. Before 2022, the public was not fully aware of the capabilities of AI as it had various inaccessible sites that had confusing user settings. So ChatGPT will offer the first hands-on experience with the capabilities of AI.

ChatGPT sounds like a student producing essay for a class. However, such essays will not be able to compete in the content market, but it's best for rephrasing the work of great philosophers like Shakespeare. You should know the following thing while using AI tools.

Far From Perfect

Despite the best efforts of OpenAI, Chat GPt frequently makes up nonsense or hateful things. Sometimes it may even sound a little silly and even cover controversial topics.

What’s Ahead of Us?

Even when ChatGPT has some flaws, it's smart to be helpful despite the flaws. Many flaws will be catered to with research and effort. You will be amazed to know that ChatGPT is not OpenAI’s best chatbot yet. Kevin Roose spoke to the New York Times podcast, saying that OpenAI is now developing the next version of a bigger model, GPT4, and people working with them say that it will be magic.

Silicon Valley’s popular names have been vocal about what they are doing and where they expect it to head. They say that they aim to create a system that surpasses human intelligence in every aspect and hence transform the future of humanity.

Moreover, they also added that there is a real chance of wiping out humans if things go according to the plan. Elon Musk tweeted that ChatGPT is good and that he is not far from developing a dangerously strong AI tool. Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, replied by saying that he agrees that the AI system is dangerously strong with a big cybersecurity risk. He also added that we could get to real AGI in the coming years.

Such claims are also labeled meaningless hype, as every startup claims to transform the world. There may be a lot of hype, but behind the fear and hype, there may be a lot or a little bit of truth.
