Golden Age Stars Who Still Look Amazing

Richard Dean Anderson – 70 years old

Richard Dean Anderson is renowned for playing the genius-level engineer, the man with a plan, Macguyver. He was the original star of the cult classic show that ran from 1985 to 1992. While it had a moderate rating success, it had a cult following that went from America into the rest of the world.

Before MacGuyver, he was part of the cast of soap opera General Hospital as Jeff Webber. After Macguyver, he gained some fame as Major General Jack O’Neil in Stargate SG-1, and its follow up series. Despite his Macguyver fame, Anderson says the character gave him no free time and was glad for some freedom.

Philip Michael Thomas – 71 years old

Philip Michael Thomas is best known for his role as Ricardo Tubbs in hit series Miami Vice. Although he had other small roles, including a guest appearance in Nash Bridges alongside his Miami Vice partner Don Johnson, he never really stepped out of his Miami Vice character.

He didn’t let it hold him down and used the character to land work as the voice for video game character Lance Vance in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Vice City Stories. He also tried his hand at music, releasing an album in 1985 called Living The Book Of My Life. He also had a hand in the Psychic Reader’s Network.

Sean Connery – 89 Years Old

There are many reasons that Sean Connery is known as “the greatest Scot” in one iteration or another. It could be because he was the first and, to many, the best James Bond actor ever. It could be because he has won so many awards from an Oscar to the Cecile B DeMille award to go with his three Golden Globe awards.

Or it could be that he is a respected actor who has starred in blockbusters like Hunt For Red October, The Highlander, Finding Forrester, and The Man Who Would Be King. Today, he’s retired. The last time he voice-acted was in 2011 in the film called Sir Billi and in the 2012 documentary called Close Up.

Bo Derek – 63 Years Old

Bo Derek burst onto the scene with a masterful performance in the romantic comedy, 10. She also starred in films like Ghosts Can’t Do It, Tarzan The Ape Man, and Bolero, all directed by her then-husband, John Derek, all of which were critical failures.

This run set her on a path of critical and financial film failures, earning her two Golden Raspberry Awards for worst actress and worst supporting actress. At the turn of the century, she was nominated for the Golden Raspberry for Worst Actress of the Century. She lost out to Madonna, though. In 2020, you can catch her in JL Family Ranch 2.

Barbara Walters – 90 years old

With a back catalog of jobs that includes hosting shows like Today, ABC Evening News, 20/20, and The View, Barbara Walters has earned the title as one of the most influential TV personalities in history. As a matter of fact, she continued to report for ABC news for 11 years after retiring as an anchor.

Besides her work as an anchor, she also created a special called Barbara Walters’ 10 Most Fascinating People, where she profiles ten prominent names in various fields. Above that, she is also a successful author with the best selling 2008 autobiography and did her last on-air interview with the then-presidential candidate, Donald Trump, in 2015.
